A residential home inspection is a vital part of the home buying process. Not only is it important for the buyer to understand the potential problems a house may have prior to buying it, it’s necessary for the seller to be aware of them as well.
A home inspection will provide a thorough overview of the house’s current condition and will expose any damages that need repaired and any outdated or faulty electrical components in order to help the buyer make an informed decision before they purchase the home.
Part of the inspection process is to ensure the home is built to industry standards. The earlier the problems are detected, the more time there will be for the seller to make the improvements prior to the contract closing date.
If the buyer is looking to obtain a mortgage for the home, a residential inspection will be required. Not only is this to safeguard the buyer, but the mortgage holder as well.

Furnace, air conditioning, air cleaning equipment, ductwork, carbon monoxide detection, electrical gas sniffer testing and other HVAC components
- Electrical Systems
Service entry & clearances, service panel, switches, outlets, wiring, junction boxes, grounding system and other electrical components
- Basements, Crawl Spaces, Foundation
Insulation, ventilation, posts, vapor barriers, utility attachments, structural items, floors, walls and columns
- Exterior
Siding, attachments, windows, doors, sashes, lintels, vents, entryways, and other exterior components
